7 Actions Needed By All, To Beat This Pandemic!

We see more Americans dying from the pandemic than from the atrocities of September 11, 2001. Many people seem unwilling to take on the personal responsibility and commitment required to make progress for the greater good. The United States has about 4.5% of all the cases and 17% of fatalities. While there are many factors that contribute to this epidemic, we can be sure that our citizens must be vigilant and take it seriously. They should also use common sense, public safety, and behaviors such as wearing masks, social distancing or hand washing. This article will briefly review, discuss, and discuss 6 actions we must take to defeat this pandemic and bring back some semblance of normal.
1. Use a mask some people see their social responsibility for wearing a mask as a political issue and not a matter of public health. Even though wearing a mask is not something that anyone enjoys and can get tired of, experts believe that about 90 to 95% of these cases could be avoided if more Americans wore masks. This should not be a law. It should be a common-sense, voluntary, better – behavior.
2. Social distancing: Scientists have confirmed that this virus is airborne and can travel through the air for at least 6 feet. We should practice social spacing/ spacing as much as possible. If this is impossible, wear a mask to protect yourself.
3. Avoid crowds: As we’ve seen, crowds, particularly when there’s little space, can have the potential to be, what’s being called, “Maskless” super – spreader events it’s possible! It makes sense to avoid being in a crowd.
4. Be vigilant: Don’t be a victimPandemic FatigueSimply because being tired of it doesn’t make them better! To ensure better health and fewer cases in the future, we must be vigilant and careful.

5. Get vaccinated vaccines will become more widely available. Unless you have a specific health reason, you may not be able to get vaccinated. Take the shots possible! We can reach what is called Herd Immunity and hopefully become a factor in defeating this deadly pandemic if we get 70% of the population to do so!
6. Common good/ Public health/ Patience: Be patient and stop being selfish! Only when we all put the common good before our own self-interest and follow the guidance of experts and public health professionals will we be able to return to a normal lifestyle.
Let’s work together, have some common sense and defeat this pandemic! Do you want to be part of the solution and not the problem?
